Information on Privacy and Data Protection
Due to current breaches of information security and other occurrences, the relevant access data of every login to the domain web server hshl.de are recorded. The web server for Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences is operated by HeLi NET Telekommunikation GmbH & Co. KG. By way of derogation additional web servers may be directly operated by the institutes, schools and institutions, which are obliged to proceed in compliance with the regulations applicable to the web server of the university. The following data are stored:
- Name of the requested file/web page
- Date and time of the request
- IP address of the requesting computer
- Access status of the web server
- (file transferred, file not found, command not implemented, etc.)

Purpose of Logging
These stored data serve the purpose of identifying and tracking unauthorized attempts to access and accesses to our web server.
Otherwise, the data are only used to assemble access statistics in anonymous form for the optimisation of the internet service. Access profiles are not generated.
The recorded data are stored for a period of two months and will then be deleted, unless a discovered web attack results in prosecution of the attacker according to civil law or criminal law. No data will be passed on to third parties.
