Why do Germans place their boots in front of the door on the evening of December 5th?

The International Office would like to explore these and many other questions about Christmas traditions together with you and celebrate this on St. Nicholas Eve. They warmly invite all (international) students to this Nikolaus Party. They will provide hot/cold drinks, homemade cookies, music and a fun Christmas-Bingo.

Please bring something from your country that is typical for Christmas or winter time. This can be e.g. decorations, food or even a story.
