Intensive Tutorial Course: Tensor Modeling in Communications and Signal Processing
27. - 29.07.2026 10:00 — 16:00
From July 27 to July 29, 2026, the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), LASP, INCT-SIGNALS, DAAD, and Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences are offering a three-day, intensive tutorial course on tensor modeling. This course is designed for undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, and industry professionals interested in tensor methods and their diverse range of applications.
The course provides a practical introduction to the modeling, decomposition, and processing of multidimensional data. In addition to theoretical foundations and common algorithms, the focus lies on concrete application fields, including MIMO communication systems, sensor array processing, and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS). The instructors for the course are Prof. Dr. André L. F. de Almeida (UFC) and Prof. Dr. Gilderlan T. Araújo (IFCE/LASP), two leading experts in the fields of multilinear algebra and signal processing for wireless communications.
