Public Lecture: "Formular 0-1086-B": A comedic intercultural perspective of the Germans

An entertaining presentation about what one can expect when traveling to the exotic country of Germany and how to deal with bureaucracy and superstition. All the things one might find amusing, silly, or just plain ridiculous. "Is it too hot?" Maybe open a window instead of the A/C. "Why, after 8 on a Sunday, are all adult Germans watching TV?" Finally, "Can I wear socks with sandals in public?" All answers shall be revealed in Formular 0-1086-B.

Marshall Goldschmidt

Born in 1986 in Wichita, Kansas and graduated in 2010 with a BA in Anthropology from Arizona State University. Moved to Germany in 2011 after having done a semester abroad in Heidelberg. Then moved to the Ruhr area in 2011 and started teaching ESL at several different companies throughout Essen and Gelsenkirchen, ranging from paper, automotive, and lingerie companies. Another core job responsibility was to teach the unemployed so they may have better chances in the job market. I accepted the position at the Hochschule Hamm-Lippstadt in 2020 and have been teaching BMT and ETR business and technical English. As a hobby, I have been performing standup comedy since I was 18 and have performed all throughout the United States and Germany.
