International students are often confronted with a completely new academic environment at the beginning of their studies and have many different questions or feel insecure.

For this reason, the International Office invites all new international students to a two-day preparation workshop for the winter semester 2024. Shortly before the semester starts you will not only get to know the campus and your fellow students, but you will also be perfectly prepared for the start of your studies.

Topics include, among others:

• First orientation and get to know HSHL
• What does it mean to study successfully?
• What should I be aware of - especially in the first semester?
• What is expected of me?
• What can I do and who can I turn to if I have problems with my studies?
• Guests speakers from the Examination Management, General Student Counseling and senior students give important hints
• How to… German bureaucracy!

Participation is voluntary, but highly recommended if you want to start your studies well prepared. The International Office is looking forward to welcoming you to HSHL!
