STUD.INT

Stud.Int connects cultures, embraces integration and shares diversity

Would you like to get to know students from all over the world and get involved in voluntarily or charitable work at the University of Applied Sciences? Or are you coming to Hamm-Lippstadt for the first time? Then Stud.Int is exactly right for you!

Who are we?

Stud.Int connects cultures, embraces integration and shares diversity!

We are Stud.Int – a student-driven initiative within the degree program "Intercultural Business Psychology". Our objective is to foster an intercultural dialog with international students and refugees in order to make their transition to our campus easier while giving them orientation and helping them integrate. We want to help them learn the German language and also be a source of information on studies in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Our 3 pillars:

1. Language interaction

  • In cooperation with the Malteser relief organization at the Central Accommodation Center and Refugee Shelter (ZUE) in Hamm: leisure activities with children
  • Buddy program for and with international students

2. Consultation hours

  • Counseling for international students and prospective student refugees (monthly by registering at stud.int@stud.hshl.de)

3. Integration through sports

  • Refugees and students can play soccer, table tennis, basketball, etc. together
  • Dancing lessons at the ZUE in cooperation with the Malteser relief organization

Despite COVID, Stud.Int would like to help international students make new contacts online and interact with other students. Students who want to get actively involved in extracurricular Stud.Int projects are welcome and play an important role in the intercultural exchange at the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences.

Why Stud.Int?

At Stud.Int you not only strengthen your intercultural and social skills, you also improve your own proficiency in foreign languages. You become acquainted with students of other cultures and your engagement fosters relations with the intercultural community.

HSHL students and international students who are new arrivals at Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences can apply.
