Discover the World! Information Days on Stays Abroad During Your Studies
16. - 19.11.2026 All Day
From 16 to 19 November 2026, the International Office at Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences invites you to a week of events focused on study and work abroad opportunities. The week includes lectures, workshops, consultation hours, and meet-ups – perfect for anyone who wants to study or work abroad (outside of Germany), learn more about the options, or explore different possibilities.
What to expect:
- The fair is the centerpiece of the Information Days. Meet students who have already studied abroad and incoming international students, representatives from several HSHL service departments, and organizations that can help you arrange stays abroad. Student initiatives and clubs will also have booths – an ideal opportunity to network and get involved in international and intercultural activities on campus.
- Short presentations by internal and external speakers on planning, applying for, and financing exchange semesters and internships abroad, plus themed workshops covering practical steps.
- Consultation hours and individual appointments where you can ask specific questions about scholarships, credit recognition, insurance, and more.
The variety of events makes this week special: whether you prefer detailed presentations, practical workshops, or face-to-face conversations at the fair – there’s something for everyone. As a bonus, you can sample dishes from around the world in our dining halls during the Information Days.
Most presentations will be conducted in German. Non-German speakers are welcome at the fair, and students who cannot attend presentations due to language constraints may request a personal consultation with the International Office.
NEW this year: English-speaking students who present their home country at the fair and attend the International Office’s open consultation hour will receive a certificate of participation. If you later apply for an exchange place at one of HSHL’s partner universities or for an Erasmus or PROMOS scholarship, the certificate will be an advantage, as it demonstrates that you have made use of our services to prepare yourself well.
Drop by, get inspired, and start planning your next move abroad. We look forward to seeing you!
