German Tenancy Law for international students (Deutsches Mietrecht)

Navigating German tenancy law can be complicated for international students, given its detailed regulations on contracts, rent, deposits, and more. Join us for an online information event where you will get more information on the basics of rental agreements, highlight potential issues such as subletting and rental scams, and explain essential rights and duties.

International Office organizes this event together with the The German Tenants' Association of North Rhine-Westphalia e.V. (Deutscher Mieterbund NRW e.V.). It is primarily thought for international students and will be held in English, but in general we welcome all students interested in deepening their knowledge in tenancy law.
