Fairness and equal opportunities
We are committed to equal opportunities and gender equality in all areas and activities of Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences. The Senate therefore elects a Gender Equality Commission, which provides general advice and support to the university and specific assistance to the Gender Equality Officer in all matters related to gender equality. The Commission also monitors the preparation, compliance with, and updating of gender equality plans and participates in the internal allocation of funds. If there are any objections from the Gender Equality Officers appointed by the Commission, for example regarding application procedures, the Commission will issue a statement.
In compliance with gender parity, the Senate elects the members of the Gender Equality Commission in equal numbers of female and male members. The groups of professors, research assistants, non-research assistants, and students each elect their own respective representatives to the commission. Members serve for a term of two years, while student members serve for one year.
