Du suchst nach einer spannenden Aktivität für die Wochenmitte? WednesDates ist Deine wöchentliche Dosis an Gemeinschaft, Kreativität und Kultur an der HSHL! Jeden Mittwoch bringen wir Studierende aus aller Welt zusammen, um Ideen auszutauschen, neue Fähigkeiten zu erlernen und Vielfalt in einer unterhaltsamen und freundlichen Atmosphäre zu erleben.

Von Improvisationsworkshops, die Dein Selbstvertrauen stärken, über Kulturabende, die dir Traditionen näherbringen, bis hin zu entspannten Kreativ-Sessions oder lebhaften Abenden – jedes WednesDate ist ein neues Erlebnis, das auf Dich wartet.

Unser Ziel ist einfach: Wir wollen den Mittwoch sinnvoller gestalten. Ob du neue Leute kennenlernen, neue Kulturen entdecken oder einfach eine Pause vom Studium einlegen möchtest – WednesDates bietet einen Ort, an dem jeder willkommen ist.

Also trage Dir den Termin in deinen Kalender ein, bring Deine Neugier mit und sei jede Woche dabei, wenn wir etwas Besonderes erleben.

Denn bei WednesDates ist jeder Mittwoch eine Gelegenheit, gemeinsam zu wachsen und Kontakte zu knüpfen.

  • April 22, 2026: Scholarships and financial support for international students (English)

    Even though HSHL does not charge any tuition fees – studying still requires substantial financial resources. Financing the study period is often especially difficult for international students, as they are not eligible for a BAföG-grant. In our short presentation, we will provide information about scholarship programs that are open for international students and give hints on other possibilities for financial support during your studies.

    Impact Impro is not about acting perfectly! It's about creating scenes in the moment. You don't need any previous experience or scripts. In this workshop, you can develop new skills and discover your strengths through improvisation. Join us and learn more about yourself and your creativity.

    Wähle dein Kanji. Verstehe seine Bedeutung. Lerne es zu schreiben. Ein kreativer Einstieg in die Welt der japanischen Schriftzeichen mit der Japanisch-Lehrerin Frau Watanabe-Schmidt.

  • June 10, 2026: World Cup Trivia & Shoot out (English/German)

    Think you know football? Ready to prove it? Join us for the World Cup Trivia & Shootout!

    A fast-paced, interactive event inspired by the excitement of the FIFA World Cup!
    Team up with other students, test your football knowledge and earn your chance to step up and score in our indoor penalty challenge. Answer right, take your shot, and climb the leaderboard!
    Whether you’re a football expert or just in it for the fun, this event is all about teamwork, energy, and international vibes.
     

  • June 17, 2026: Focus on the goal – Stay motivated during the exam period (German)

    The exam period is just around the corner and the thought of what lies ahead is making you feel anxious? In this workshop, you will work with the Central Student Advisory Service to develop a strategy using the Zurich Resource Model (ZRM®) that will help you feel confident and empowered as you approach the end of the semester. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to discover your personal resources and benefit from joint reflection within the group.

  • June 24, 2026: Meet the Police (English)

    Join us for an open and friendly info session with the police (in English). Warm drinks and real answers on - when to call the police - how to handle conflicts, violence, or discrimination and where to get help - how to avoid breaking rules by accident and much more.
