Before the summer semester starts, let's go on a hiking adventure! Together we will discover the fairytale town of Detmold with its German Fachwerk architecture, the historic Teutoburg Forest (once the site of a battle between German tribes and the Roman Empire) and the Hermann's Monument. The hike is suitable for everyone and does not require any particular level of fitness.
The International Office and Career Service are organizing this trip for you as a part of the University Sports. We are especially looking forward to:
- Train ride together from Hamm / Lippstadt to Detmold
- Picturesque hike of 3.5 hours with many sightseeing points
- Outdoor flair: cooking and drinking herbal tea on the way
- Sharing lunch snacks
- Guaranteed photo with the Hermann’s Monument for your Instagram
What to bring:
- Sturdy sports or hiking shoes and weatherproof clothing (do not forget rain jacket if necessary)
- A bottle of water that lasts for the day
- Snacks for lunch.
Please bring some snacks that you can share with the group. Maybe you have something that your family traditionally prepares for a trip like this: sandwiches, fruits, or something homemade? Let's share!
- A cup for drinking tea
If you have any questions, please contact the International Office.
