Zoo, Hiking & Picnic in the Teutoburg Forest Bielefeld

"Bielefeld? That doesn't even exist!" - come with us and convince yourself. Besides its satirical conspiracy theory, the soccer team, the Sparrenburg Castle and Dr. Oetker-Pudding, the city of Bielefeld is also known for its unique animal wildlife park called Olderdissen. The park is located in the middle of the Teutoburg Forest and is home to over 450 native animals on 16 hectares. Among them are: Bears, wolves, nutria, owls and mouflon.

The International Office invites all interested students of HSHL to come along on an excursion to Bielefeld. Together we will visit the species-rich animal park and then walk to the botanical garden. Our excursion ends at the Sparrenburg and we will have plenty of time and space for a shared picnic.

Don't forget: semester ticket, 3G proof, snacks, drinks, comfortable shoes and clothes. Depending on the weather you may also need sun or rain protection.

Looking forward seeing you!
