Accomodation in general
Are you already enrolled or are you going to study at the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences and are you looking for a place to stay? The Studierendenwerk Paderborn (student services) is responsible for the student residences of the HSHL. Additionally, there are a number of private offers for accomodation.
Finding a flat or a room in a shared apartment can be quite a challenge in Germany. More information about finding accommodation in general provides the DAAD website.

Good news for young people in Hamm: With an average rent of 7.39 euros per square meter for apartments in Hamm, prices here are well below the German average (8.68 euros/square meter, as of January 2025). Whether it’s the “Grüner Winkel” right around the corner from campus, water sports on Lake Alberssee, or cycling along the many marked trails: Lippstadt offers plenty of nature to explore and relax in.
