The Department Hamm 1, led by Prof. Dr. Heiko Kopf, includes the following study programs:

Cooperation with mit Fraunhofer

In addition to teaching, the endowed professorship for Industrial Computer Science and Biosystems Engineering was established in Department 1 Hamm on May 1, 2010 for a five-year term, financed by Stadtwerke Hamm. With Prof. Dr. Harald Mathis, a leading scientist from Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT) was recruited and an institutional research cooperation in the field of biomolecular optical systems was established. Fraunhofer Application Center SYMILA was founded in cooperation between FIT and the university.
